Dale Seed is a Senior Wireless Research Director at InterDigital. In this role, he leads research on several advanced 5G and 6G wireless research and innovation topics. Since joining InterDigital in 2008, he has led both cellular modem product development projects as well as research and innovation projects. Some areas of expertise include AI-enabled network functions and services, cellular IoT centric technologies, edge computing, and QoS management.
Dale is a prolific inventor with over 200 granted US patents and over 500 granted worldwide patents. Dale participates in several industry standards bodies and alliances including 3GPP, ETSI, oneM2M and NGA. He has held several standards leadership roles including oneM2M’s Architecture Working Group Chairman and oneM2M Technical Plenary Vice Chairman.
Prior to joining InterDigital, Dale held various leadership, systems architecture, and design positions at Intel, Lucent, and Agere Systems. Dale holds a BS Electrical Engineering degree and a MS Computer Engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
