The continued momentum of wireless evolution requires efficiency in all aspects of 6G.  These efficiencies must be leveraged for urban, rural, and suburban environments   Efficiency in 6G can serve as a catalyst for digital equity by providing broadband affordability, physical accessibility, and geographic availability of network services.

Cost-efficient solutions must overcome several technical challenges including capacity, coverage, low subscriber-density economics, distribution cost structures, and outdoor-to-indoor coverage.

Some targets and methods to overcome these challenges include advanced radio technologies, expanded spectrum resources, cell densification, innovative network topologies, interoperability, and open interfaces.
