Balaji Raghothaman is currently Chief Technologist and Wireless Standards Lead at Keysight Technologies, where he is shaping the company’s 6G technology strategy and road mapping, and leading key industry and academic collaborations and early proof-of-concepts, in wide ranging areas including RAN and PHY protocols, extreme MIMO, AI/ML, Sensing etc. Balaji is Keysight’s prime delegate in the AI-RAN Alliance, leading the Benchmarking for AI Task group in the Alliance. He conceptualized and manages the Keysight AI Lab in Santa Clara, USA. He is Keysight’s delegate to the FCC Technical Advisory Council.
Prior to joining Keysight, Balaji was an Engineering Fellow at Commscope. He has had a long career in wireless R&D, including stints at Texas Instruments, Nokia Research, InterDigital, and Airvana.
Balaji has a PhD in Telecommunications Signal Processing at the University of Texas at Dallas. He has more than 65 patents (granted and pending) and 30+ publications to his name. Balaji lives in the Philadelphia metro area in the USA.
