received the Ph.D. degree in informatics from Kyoto University in 2004. In the same year, he joined KDDI Corporation and engaged in research on wireless communications at KDDI R&D Laboratories. From 2015 to 2025, he was involved in the planning and development of KDDI’s commercial mobile networks. Since 2025, he has served as Head of the Wireless Technology Division at KDDI Research, Inc., where he has been engaged in research and development of wireless communications toward 6G. He is currently an Executive Director and Head of the Wireless Technology Division at KDDI Research, Inc. He has also been contributing as a subleader of 6G promotion project in XGMF.
