was appointed as Ericsson Japan CTO on February 16, 2023, and is responsible for driving technology alignment and long-term technology strategies for Ericsson in Japan. He joined Ericsson in 2017 where he was responsible for Network Evolution in Market Area North East Asia.

Before joining Ericsson, Kashima worked as a mobile network researcher starting in 2000, contributing to 3GPP standardization and other related initiatives. Since 2008, he has been contributing to promotions and the proof of concepts aiming for the introduction of commercial networks in Japan.   After receiving a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics from The University of Tokyo, Kashima earned a Ph.D. of Engineering in Communications at Tokyo Institute of Technology.
